"The Cosecha bottling from this warm slope close to Pesquera de Duero is Tinto Fino-based with 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot. Full bodied, yet elegant, it always has something of a Right Bank Bordeaux feel to it, with aromas of coffee bean and cigar wrapper, refined 25% new wood, dried herb and cassis flavours and a spicy Mediterranean twist." About the producer

This estate can rival other greats in the region, such as Vega Sicilia in terms of its classic approach and careful blending with Cabernet Sauvignon. Peter Sisseck, the famous Danish winemaker who made Pingus one of Spain’s leading estates, took over thes estate from a grapegrower family in 1990 before starting Pingus in 1995. Right-hand man is winemaker Carlos de la Fuente. These wines are superb, for drinking now or laying down for several years.
